Saturn PCBA · Make Value

High-mix PCBA, built to make value

An engineering-led PCBA and EMS factory in Bao'an, Shenzhen, for low-to-mid volume electronics teams. MOQ 1 pc · turnkey prototypes in 5–7 working days · quotes with DFM notes in 1 business day · shipping to 25+ countries.

Capabilities

Four disciplines, one factory floor

No hand-offs between vendors: the same plant runs your boards from paste printing to packed cartons.

PCB Assembly

Mixed SMT + through-hole on the same floor: 01005 passives, 0.25 mm BGA, boards up to 460 × 500 mm. MOQ 1 pc, builds from 1 to 100,000+ pcs, IPC-A-610 Class 2 as standard.

PCB assembly >

SMT Assembly

4 placement lines at 150,000+ CPH combined, ±0.025 mm accuracy, 3,000,000+ components placed per day. Inline SPI before placement, 100% AOI after reflow.

SMT assembly >

Box-Build

Integration from L1 to L5: cable assemblies, enclosures, firmware flashing. IPC-CC-830 conformal coating in acrylic, silicone or urethane, with burn-in from 24 to 168 h.

Box-build & coating >

Test & Inspection

A full chain in-house: SPI → AOI → X-ray → flying probe → ICT → FCT. 100% AOI on every board, 100% X-ray on every BGA and QFN, CoC with every shipment.

Test capabilities >

Make Value

Engineering that pays for itself before reflow

Every order gets a DFM review within 1 business day — four checks before anything is purchased: pad solderability, stencil apertures, panelization, and BOM risk (EOL and alternate parts). The average PCB re-spin costs about $28,000 plus 2–4 weeks of schedule, and 90% of companies have shipped a product late. Both problems are cheapest to stop before a stencil is cut.

  • Pads & stencil: aperture ratios checked against the paste data of every fine-pitch part.
  • Panelization: rail, fiducial and depaneling method agreed before fabrication.
  • BOM health: EOL and PCN flags, alternate parts proposed with data sheets attached.

Mini case: a 6-layer industrial controller arrived with a connector whose BOM line was flagged EOL by two franchises. Our sourcing team proposed a pin-compatible alternate, the customer qualified it in 3 days, and the build held its 5-day slot.

How we work

Five steps from Gerber to dock

Each step has a named owner on our side and one thing to confirm on yours.

1

Send files, get a quote

Upload Gerber or ODB++, BOM, pick-and-place data and assembly notes. A priced quote with DFM feedback returns within 1 working day.

Your part: confirm quantities and service level — turnkey or consignment.

2

Sourcing & kitting

Turnkey parts are purchased through authorized channels with EOL screening; passives carry a 5–10% overage. Consignment kits are verified line-by-line against your BOM on arrival.

Your part: approve any proposed alternates.

3

SMT & DIP assembly

Paste printing with 100% inline SPI, placement at ±0.025 mm, reflow at a programmed 240–255 °C peak. Wave and selective soldering cover the through-hole side.

Your part: confirm the acceptance class — Class 2 default, Class 3 on request.

4

Test

Flying probe for prototypes, ICT fixtures for volume, then FCT to your bench spec. Every board has passed 100% AOI, and every BGA/QFN has passed X-ray before this gate.

Your part: supply the FCT procedure and any fixtures.

5

Ship & document

A CoC travels with every shipment, backed by batch and date-code traceability records. DHL/FedEx/UPS reach EU and US doors in 3–5 days; EXW/FOB/DAP/DDP on request.

Your part: confirm the Incoterm and courier account.

6

Reorder & support

Repeat orders restart in 5–10 working days with a fresh BOM health check each run; engineering changes get a delta quote in the same week.

Your part: flag EOL notices or spec changes as early as you can.

Industries

Built for markets where a delay is expensive

Four industries, four numbers we design against.

Automotive

OEMs run 0 PPM programs with realistic supplier targets of 25–60 PPM. We build to IPC-A-610 Class 3 on request and ship PPAP Level 1–3 documentation packages with batch traceability.

Medical

Quality systems expect records kept 10+ years and UDI-ready traceability. We provide lot-level traceability, a CoC per shipment, and Class 3 acceptance where your device file requires it.

Industrial control

Equipment serves 15–25 years while some ICs go EOL in under 10 — often without a PCN notice. Our BOM health check flags those parts before you commit; last-time-buy windows typically run 6–12 months.

Telecom & consumer

Launching 9–12 months late costs about 50% of expected profit. Turnkey prototypes in 5–7 working days, with 72-hour expedite for simple boards, keep design-validation loops inside two weeks.

Quality

Quality gates, documented

IPC-A-610 Class 2 as standard and Class 3 on request; 100% AOI after reflow and 100% X-ray on BGA/QFN; an ESD S20.20 program across the floor and MSD dry cabinets below 5% RH.

ISO 9001:2015 IATF 16949 workflow alignment ISO 13485 documentation support IPC-A-610 Class 2 / Class 3 ANSI/ESD S20.20 RoHS / REACH

Certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Automotive and medical programs run on IATF 16949-aligned workflows (PPAP Level 1–3) and ISO 13485-aligned documentation (DHR style) — ask for copies of certificates.

Wide interior of the Saturn factory floor with SMT lines and workstations

The floor

3,200 m² under one roof in Bao'an

Five zones on one floor — SMT, DIP, conformal coating, box-build assembly and a test lab — at 107 National Highway, Xixiang Street. Boards never leave the building between processes, so nothing is re-qualified by a second vendor.

  • 4 SMT lines + 2 DIP lines (wave and selective).
  • 8 box-build and burn-in stations, 24–168 h burn-in.
  • MSD dry cabinets below 5% RH; ESD S20.20 program floor-wide.

Before you commit

Six questions, answered up front

The things buyers usually email us about — stated here so your first quote needs no round-trip.

Files we need

Gerber or ODB++ for the board, an Excel BOM with manufacturer part numbers, pick-and-place coordinates and any assembly notes.

MOQ and volume

MOQ is 1 pc — prototypes and production share it. Comfortable range from 1 to 100,000+ pcs across 300+ new part numbers a year.

Lead times

Quote with DFM notes in 1 working day; turnkey prototypes in 5–7 working days; typical production builds in 15–20 days.

NDA and IP

NDA by default — signed before your files change hands. Boards never leave our building between processes, so designs stay in one pair of hands.

Documents you get

A Certificate of Conformance with every shipment, batch and date-code traceability records, PPAP Level 1–3 documentation on request.

Shipping

DHL, FedEx and UPS reach EU and US doors in 3–5 days; EXW, FOB, DAP and DDP terms under Incoterms 2020.

Sourcing network

Authorized channels, real stock

When consignment does not cover your BOM, parts come through authorized global distribution — these are the channels we buy through, with full traceability back to the franchise.
